1993 SW20 for sale!Add to Favourites
For reluctant sale is my beloved MR2. There's a lot to say so I'll try and keep this brief.
I purchased the car in late 2015, and since then have had nothing but joy with the vehicle. Finally, after nearly 2 years of ownership, I've needed to move on to a 5 door car, with more modern amenities and something a little bit more "future proof" in the wife and kids department.
This car has been mechanically flawless the whole time I've owned it. The owner before me did hardly any mileage between MOTs so it really was ready for action. The engine had a full rebuild before I acquired it (receipt available, done by Toyota) so it runs really well. The suspension is in good condition with no squeaks or bumps, the brakes are great, steering is responsive and it pulls well in every gear with no weird noises.
Obviously being a 24 year old car there are some faults, which I hope is reflected in the asking price. The bodywork could do with some attention, and really it could do with a decent set of stock wheels on to make it look the part. The drivers seat has some surface wear on the bolster but this hasn't compromised the leather at all.
The shell and chassis are currently on 69728 genuine miles, the engine I'm not sure about given the full factory rebuild from Toyota. There's a full service history with the car, by which I mean 20 year old MOT certificates, the original owners manual, original catalogues from Toyota... It's like a history lesson in a file.
I would honestly rather see this car go to someone that will really love it. I don't particularly want to see some boy racer slamming it on coilovers and "drifting" it into a lamp post, as I feel the amount of history with the car etc. means it truly deserves a full restoration job.
I'm open to offers on price, but please be sensible.
Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I'm not an expert in the MR2 so I'll answer as honestly as I can, but I can't go into too many ultra-fine details I'm afraid.
