Comment: I used two in my 3 story 5 flats Victorian house. They have done a good job! I now intend to buy two more to get complete coverage. I used the setting 'continuous'.I just left it on permanently. Maybe I could try 'random' as well, who knows?

Summary: Doesn't work for ants - Nice Idea, but not effective
Comment: We've had a minor ant invasion in our kitchen. This device has been operational for nearly two weeks. Liked the idea of a non-chemical solution as we have a young baby, so thought we'd give this a try. If anything there are now more ants than before. Had a pest control expert from the council in to take a look and he suggested the only way this would work effectively was if we unplugged it and used it to hit/squash the ants...

An expensive waste of time - use good ant killer gel/spray is the advise we received.

Comment: Maybe I'm just lucky, but I bought one in Jan08 as we had rodents in the attic (no idea how they got in) and haven't had a problem since!

Comment: I bought this for a mouse problem in an old rented house. Its a nice idea but it doesn't really work - the mice get used to the sound, even on 'irregular' setting and coverage is a massive problem as ANY object will block its field of view and create blind-spots behind it. Of coure, I was unable to tell if it helped prevent mice chewing through wires as it states, but I doubt it.

Summary: An instant end to the ant invasion
Comment: I got a Pest-Stop 2000 ultrasonic/electromagnetic pest repeller about three years ago as I had a big problem with ants coming in to the house. I was sceptical, but the result was almost instant and I have never had more than the odd one or two ants in the house since then. Much safer and cleaner than using chemicals, and convenient to use too - you can plug it into any mains socket, and I easily found one that was never used for anything else. Highly recommended and well worth the money.
