Comment: I use Norton 2008 and it does the job fine. Old versions of Norton had a reputation for being a bit slow but 2008 seems pretty good - and faster than my old AVG. I haven't used Ghost so can't comment on that part.

Look in to Avast, one of the best virus scanners
I have ever come across.
And Acronis True Image, instead of Norton Ghost.
For making an image of a computer
