Re: Installing Remote Central Locking
Do you have a installation diagram for the remote module you are trying to install ? If so post photo/scan of it.thunnisett wrote: ↑06/05/24 20:59 It did the same when I was connected to the main car power, the reason why I did this was just to check I have perm line and negative were fine.
Does the standard central locking work OK with the key ?

Hi.
Central locking works fine with key.
The central locking kit is the same as one mentioned in this post.

I must be using the wrong wires from the wrong plug maybe?
This is the plug I’ve been feeding off (drivers footwell)

Re: Installing Remote Central Locking
The plug shown in the first post is the one connected to the central locking relay, which is in the drivers door, NOT the footwell

Oh ok. So the module / wires I need are from the actual door card? All the videos I’ve watched (although not much help) have been from the footwell

Re: Installing Remote Central Locking
The first post in the thread pretty much explains it, your looking for the central locking relay, which is located in the drivers door. You need to remove the door card to get to the relay.
You may be able to do it from the drivers footwell if you find the plug for the drivers door harness. Some more info here https://mr2oc.co.uk/know-your-2/mk2/mk2 ... -info.html
Can't be more help without spending some time with the drawings as I'm not really familiar with the MK2 system, if it was a MK1 ....
