New Alternator Time
Pulley seized and belt snapped on mine. It had been whining for some time so it looks like I'll need a new one. Really should drive the car more!
Are people still recommending the 120A Alternator from TCB? I'll take mine out later to check but I understand the Rev3 Turbo's should be 90A originally.
Any long term issues with these upgraded alternators?

Re: New Alternator Time
The 90A ones from the The Starter Motor & Alternator Company Ltd are made of cheese, I've found. I had a 120A one from TCB which died on track at Castle Coombe (although, in fairness, it had been coated with engine oil enough time that I'm not surprised it popped). At Dawsey's recommendation, I'm now running a 160A one from Electrostart and that seems to be doing well so far...stuMR2lee wrote:Pulley seized and belt snapped on mine. Re: New Alternator Time
Electrostart have no stock so had to go TCB as I need the alternator by the end of the week. Brand new 120A unit on its way so fingers crossed.

Re: New Alternator Time
I've tried getting in touch with Electrostart but had no response. Who is it you spoke to if you don't mind me asking?
