Info:- Knocking When Travelling over Bumps!
The most common cause of 'knocks' from the suspension is either failure of the drop link ball joints or the top mount securing nut being slightly loose.
Drop links connect the suspension strut to the anti roll bar. Toyota actually refer to them as stabilizer links.

The top mount nuts are accessed from above the suspension towers (inside the engine bay and under the front bonnet). Whilst the strut nuts are located there (4 front and 3 rear) it's the nut under the plastic cover that needs to be tightened.
