Info:- Power Steering Fluid

The handbook and most dealers recommend the use of TQ Dexron 2 (now replaced with Dexron 3) hydraulic auto transmission fluid.

The cap of the power steering reservoir, that is located under the black trim around the spare wheel, says use fluid EH. Toyota actually sells EH (Electro Hydraulic) fluid for vehicles with Electro Hydraulic power steering.

We recommend that you firstly check the colour of the fluid currently in the power steering reservoir. Dexron is red in colour, whereas EH is clear.

If you are still uncertain, contact your local Toyota dealer.
