Reluctantly parting with my beautiful, faithful servant of 18 years. The clutch has started to slip. Still drives OK and can probably be nursed for another few hundred miles. This is the main reason for sale. Estimated cost to replace £900.
Drives wonderfully! Mid-engine means you can feel the car turning around your hips. Great soundtrack from high revving normally aspirated 2.0 engine. Slick gear shift. Great pedal balance and proper, hydraulic power assisted steering.
One lady owner for 18 years. Kept in a garage. All MOTs since owned.
Wheels and paintwork refurbished last year. No dents or knocks in original wheels. Four decent tyres. New battery.
No rust, dents or dings.
Sun roof (with original storage bags).
Supplied with original Toyota Multi CD changer, tape deck and radio although these barely work. New Kenwood DPX-5100BT double DIN sized unit installed, £159. Comes with box if you want to sell separately. Includes Bluetooth and microphone. Needs a suppressor fitting.
Relatively low insurance (I was paying less than £250 a year fully comp inc business use).
Boot and bonnet storage are clean and dry. Huge boot.
All electrics (apart from alarm and stereo needing a suppressor got the information MOT this) work.
Her Black leatherette interior faded with a torn driver's seat and gear lever gaiter. Seats, steering wheel and gaiters are faded.
Door seals leak. The car has always been stored in the garage so currently nice and dry.
Power steering occasionally turns off. Still driveable without assistance.
Separate keys for door and ignition. Ignition barrel failed and replaced. Only one key available.
Alarm does not work.
Paint work faded. Restores nicely with T-Cut (see picture of bonnet). Wearing thin on edges (see read badge).
Slight oil leak on engine. Advisory on last MOT. Never uses oil.
Electric aerial stuck in raised position.
Despite her flaws, she is still a head-turner!
