Description

SW20 Toyota MR2 Turbo T-bar. 300+hp.
Registered early 1998, Revision4 model.
Azure blue in colour, a rare Revision4 only (96-97) colour with full leather interior.
100-101k miles.
MOT till May 2023.
Factory alarm and immobiliser and x2 set of Keys.
UK car with 3SGTE Turbo engine conversion from a Revision4 GT Turbo completed in the early 2010s just before my ownership.

I’ve owned this car for 9 amazing years but sadly it’s time to let go.
In that near decade I covered a mere and trouble free 22k miles (last few years, less than 2k miles).
Always been garaged in my ownership and been used as a fair weather car to take to shows and sunday B road driving.
I’ve owned MR2's since 2004, with this being my 3rd.
I have spent 100s of personal man hours, £1000's, tidying, modifying, customising and tinkering over the years, true labour of love. All modifications and servicing carried out by myself, aside from a clutch/flywheel upgrade completed by Rogue Motorsport.

There is a huge history of the car on the IMOC+MR2OC forums.

Car dynoed 304hp on the factory Ct20b turbo before making a 12.5second 1/4 mile p at 114mph (believed to be UK's fastest factory turbo time).
I changed direction after reaching this goal to a more unique driving experience by installing a rebuilt ATS TD06 turbo kit and have run this at a lower boost level for the last 5years putting the car at a similar power level as before.

Cons;
Odd age related chip on bonnet and front bumper/lip. As you’d expect on a 25+year old car.
Due to reshaping the engine lid tray to aid airflow, it’s now rather open to the elements, hasn’t been a big deal for me as I’ve only used in dry weather.
Penger electric mirror not cooperating.
Boot lining reshaped to make way for wire tucked items but it is still functional and useable for luggage/shopping.

Servicing;
Recent oil/filter change (oem Toyota filter, shell helix 5w40) in mid May 2022.
MOT till May 2023.
Major service done in 2018, cars only moved 2-3k miles since then (Plugs, Coolant, Oil, filters).
Headgasket replacement in 2018.
Oil/Oil filter, spark plugs and Fuel filter changed yearly or every 4k miles.
Other items of note within the last 12-18months, new alternator and handbrake cables.
Mountains of paperwork for service and modification items, in addition to what can read/seen on owners club page.
Factory Toyota service book dated and stamped from 1998 when the car was bought brand new by the original owner, pre inspection spec sheet upon first sale and Owners manuals.

Free of charge, many many spares collected over the years included in sale if wanted.

Never fails to put a smile on my face and since getting a fresh MOT, i've driven it more over the last couple of weeks than i have over the last 2years during Covid restrictions. Beautiful rare factory colour, Tbar, RPF1’s, fast and intoxicating, what’s not to love, i'll be sad to see it go.

£13,500.
No P/X.
