Lucky you we are in a total lockdown now so its pretty hard to get the MR2 onto the road, let alone a rolling road.
It's the same here, you'd be lucky to find anywhere open.
The government have announced a 6 month extension to MOT expiry dates, most garages/ MOT stations are closed..
My daily was booked for a service and MOT yesterday, canceled with no warning, dealership is closed until further notice.

The 6 month MOT extension will mean that testers will have no work for quite some time.
However, if garages are closed how are essential staff (e.g NHS) expected to get to where they are needed?
Their vehicles will still require maintaining/servicing.

A great many people don't live within walking distance of their place of work.
Public transport is not best suited to maintaining the required separation.
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Every statement the Government has made about this mess so far has been an immediate knee jerk, not thought through.
For example, a few days ago we could go out for a walk. Now we're likely to be drone spotted if we do and, if we want to drive out of a town into the country, where there are less people, so less risk, we're stopped, bearing in mind that if you're in your car, you're going to be more than 2m from outsiders and, therefore, little risk.
Gripe over - from somebody who should be scoring 10/10 as "high risk" but hasn't had his NHS letter yet!

The risk of driving anywhere is breaking-down. That's why recovery companies like Green Flag have told customers they will only tow their car (with you sat in it) to a public place near public transport to leave the car get yourself home.
I didn't do it.

Or encountering somebody who thinks that the almost empty roads means that they no longer have to exercise due care. Pulling blindly out of a junction and/or using your half of the road space. The lack of traffic seems to make some think that there is nobody else out there.

That was at the beginning of the week. Fortunately neither resulted in a coming together. The other thing I noticed is how many people were out cycling. And on horses. I haven't seen so many of latter in years.

Will only be going out to buy food now. Shouldn't need to do that for at least another week, maybe longer.

This is slowly morphing into a COVID post, so here's something we can all do while we can't drive anywhere. If you watch it long enough, you might see one; I got a fleeting glimpse this morning, which is more than I did last year after climbing up that blessed hill!

There's also tiger, koala, rockhopper and penguin, only the penguins seem to do anything!

Two years ago, my daughter spent 4 months looking after the penguins at Edinburgh Zoo, (unpaid, as part of her degree course) she loved it

Thanks for the reminder Jimi. :p

The drive to the shops is not exactly stimulating where I live.
My free pass is somewhat superfluous atm.
Social distancing on a bus is somewhat tricky...
It's all about managing risk.

The upside is the massive reduction in traffic noise.
It means I can now hear early morning birdsong each day.

Anyone else got a MR2 related lockdown project?
I don't think I've ever had this much spare time in my entire working life so I've ordered parts for a complete audio overhaul on my MK1 and I've painted the boot in por15 for a bit of extra rust protection

Best euphemism ever for setting up your own micro-brewery in the shed...
