Hi all,
This just came up on adverts.ie. https://www.adverts.ie/vehicles/toyota- ... l/25834138
Has the wheel, sills and the sticker on the ash tray, I'm unsure if thats the right shift knob or not though. Reg is P119 RYB. Claims to be number #009.
Had a quick look on the registry and didnt see it on there so hopefully this hasnt already been posted on here

Looks the wrong shape to me. I've never seen a Rev 3 with an OEM knob like that and it's definitely not the Momo one. See the brochure pics here - https://www.mr2oc.co.uk/know-your2/mk2/ ... ition.htmlPadraig 04 wrote: ↑15/01/22 16:27 Hi all,

Other than that it appears to be a genuine 10th anni car..
I'm curious why it's still on a UK plate though. AFAIK if the seller is resident in the RoI the vehicle has to be registered with NCT within 30 days of importation.

My concern would be a the wheel , ashtray and sill covers are easy to change ( you can still get the sill covers from Mr T, ( IIRC Jeff bought some last year) and it doesn't appear to have the decals, unfortunately no pic of the engine cover which would clinch it for me.

Re: 10th Anniversary MR2 Register - CHAT - add your car here
I take your point about the engine lid. If it is a ringer then someone has got hold of pretty much all of the relevant parts including the Toyota front and rear badges and the correct wheels from one that has been broken. The bodyshell is also the right colour (Grey, per the DVLA). The gear knob remains an oddity though Possibly a personal preference by the current or a previous owner?

I'm probably being over critical, as you say it pretty much looks right, I'll add it to the register

Re: 10th Anniversary MR2 Register - CHAT - add your car here
Most cars here for sale that come from the UK or the north arent VRT'd. Its just too expensive in most cases, that MR2 for example is €1545, compare that to 2020 when the cost to VRT my MR2 was €700. The price has just gone up and up. Their was a reason 70% percent of used cars here was imported from the UK .TonyleFrog wrote: ↑15/01/22 21:45 I'm curious why it's still on a UK plate though. Can't verify the number, but this has the correct colour badges on the nose and boot lid together with the steering wheel and ashtray decal - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234771739610 ... SwdPBjaquV
