Excuse me guys but I've just had a gentlemen's accident. That is pretty much Jessica Alba in automotive form......ooops I've gone again!!!

Re: SARD MC8 & MC8R pics
I've decided to build a SWB replica of this car in Spring 2016 with the intention of having a full bolt on kit that fits a regular chassis.
I'll start a thread when the time comes.

Re: SARD MC8 & MC8R pics
There doesn't seem much interest in this here.
I'm going to build it anyway as it's been on my bucket list for many years and i think the Mr2 community needs this to be an option.

Not at all Paul, I'd completely missed your last post. I think this idea is absolutely awesome! It'd be great to see something different being developed bodywork-wise for the mk2.PaulWoods wrote:There doesn't seem much interest in this here.

The work you were doing on the scion tc supercharger with d-peg and also the sealed airbox would be good ones to finish as well! Lol

It's not that there is little or no interest Paul. Without seeing anything in the flesh is difficult for anyone to make any commitment. You have to also remember, this is an unusual car that will not appeal to the masses for sure. I look forward to seeing what you come up with and if there's anything I can use or help with from mine

Re: SARD MC8 & MC8R pics
On my photo search for this fabled beast recently, I discovered this picture....
Which ties into this link....
http://ameblo.jp/180demiogtr2/entry-12044737786.html
To a website to do with an event called 'Sounds of Suzuka 2015'
Look at picture #10...
Yep - an MC8-R doing the rounds in 2015, so this must be one of the few remaining race cars.
Also at this event you will see the fabled 787b and a Nissan R91..
Here's some footage of these two Le Mans beasts running the Suzuka circuit. Unfortunately the SARD did not get the same outing - or, at least, I've been unable to find footage.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hfv7QhqLUNY
So this pic is another from the same event too...
This too shows the recent #34 form, distinctive white outline to headlight covers, projector lenses.. (Though the graphics are certainly different) Also note the VERY dirty wheels soooo.... looks like it's still running as a demo car I imagine.

Re: SARD MC8 & MC8R pics
I did start making an MC8R livery for the MR2 in Forza Horizon 2:
I never finished it though. Might have to have another go in Forza 6.

Re: SARD MC8 & MC8R pics
its all very well making a "kit" to fit a standard bodied mk2, however, anyone truly interested in this, ie like Dan, is after a replica, EXTENDED BODY and everything.
you cant make a Sard rep like whats been posted in this thread without extending the chassis IMO.
no kit on a stock chassis car is going to look like any of these pictures.
would be a hell of alot cheaper and less hassle though if your not after it being identical!!

Re: SARD MC8 & MC8R pics
That is a fair point Jim .... As a reminder, my wheelbase is 15" longer than standard.
I recall 'calculating' that the actual stretch is closer to 18"

Keen to see more of yours Dan! I remember the project thread but the last I recall you had to give up the working space for it? What's happening with it now?
