You're welcome, we all help each other out in some way or another, it's what makes this one of the best online car clubs in my view.

Ok Bob,

Me thinks patiens will prevail..
meanwhile, will play with the 3S-GE
Its odd how the FE manual seems so hard to get hold of

I just followed a link supplied by member 'scoobiedoo' and found a brilliant Toyota site/Parts database

www.toyodiy.com/

I never thought I would be thanking a scoobie....THANKS!!!

Hi Guys, I am new to this site and would be classed as a silver surfer and more used to the old sports cars, Triumphs TR's and MGB's !
i hope I am on the correct page for a start.
Problem--22 year old son has just gone out and purchased his first MR2--1994 grey import, he says it has a 2000 Twin cam 16 engine--looking on the net I think this is the 3S-GE engine, it is non turbo--how do I find out exactly which engine it is?
First problem, when staring from cold, engine revs at 2000 for a while and then reduces--is that normal and just the automatic choke ?

Here is a great site i've found recently:

http://www.autoshop101.com/

Click on 'Technical Articles' on the left.

They are the training manuals used to train Toyota technicians and go into more detail than the workshop manuals :th:
