Mid to high 14's would be respectable for a stock bodied car with a M/T :th:

There is a bit of technique involved on the strip though, but you'll figure it out.

I believe I got mid 15's in my Rev 2. Times got worse throughout the day, I would say at a complete guess it was because the track was getting warmer and my tyres were getting stickier.

I was always ahead of my mate in his rev 5 NA.

Im doubtful mine will have its rev 3 transplant by then, but theres always next year to see what it does!
I was mid to low 15's too when my turbo was an N/A, but it wasn't what you would call a "healthy" engine

Tyre pressures, and avoiding the water trap and temperatures/wind make a noticable difference. Biggest diiference for me was getting to the line. Don't rush it!

Quite a few people have said mine seems quicker than average on the club runs. It's the launch I'm concerned about. I've found it's very easy to slip the clutch with a high RPM launch in this car and my old NA. Disadvantage of having half decent tyres I guess :laughing

Due to family I'm not gonna know if I can go until the day before so if I do go will either grab and unwanted ticket or pay on the gate.

I'm guessing you cant get on the club stand unless you purchase a ticket from the club?

What usually happens is I get an allocation of stand passes regardless of tickets which are possible to collect on the day.

Tickets do cost more on the gate though but you can still get on the stand :th:

Thanks. That sounds good. I've never been to Santa pod and its only about 90mins from me so will try my best to be there on the Sunday.

All the tickets are now paid for and on their way to me :th:

Just remember that if you fancy coming along, it is still possible. I have some spare stand passes and it's possible to pay on the gate, although the price is more than if you hooked in advance :th:

mid to high 14s on a NA is only respectable :confused1:

id say that was pretty impressive. most manage 15/16s at best.

Looking at this:

http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/garage.php ... =&start=76

There's a couple of NA's in the 14s (badgerbob's must be a typo?). Most are 15s or slower, though perhaps they just weren't trying hard enough.

Hi there bud :th:

Technically you have missed the boat however there is a solution ;)

I have 2 remaining stand passes that are up for grabs (I did have 5 but 3 are provisionally spoken for)....

If you buy a weekend ticket from Santa Pod, you can collect a stand pass from me on the Saturday. Unfortunately, this is the only way I can really do it though as trying to get passes to people on the Sunday morning is almost impossible as the show is being set up first thing.

If you want a stand pass, let me know and I'll hold on to one of the last 2 for you :th:
