tubby conversion

hi guys just a quick one,, im starting collecting bits for my tubby conversion. my cars a rev1. now would it be best and easiest to put in rev1 or is the wireing loom on the rev2 the same and the engine better?

Just done a conversion on a Rev1 N/A - put in a Rev2 tubby lump.

The one thing to bear in mind is that the speedo is mechanical on the Rev1 and electronic on the Rev2. A speedo sender from a rev1 TURBO gearbox sorts that out fine though

Personally, I do believe that the Rev2 engine is the better choice though
