It’s worth doing if you do it right, have massive pockets and keep the car in a garage for a dry summers day.

If I was to do it again I would have stripped the car back, redone everything and fitted a 3.5 V6. The turbo is great when it goes but it’s never ending trying to keep it right.

I freely admit mine has become a real Labour of love now, and with this ridiculous obsession with speed and the tree hugging green car agenda I’m starting to see my car as something to look at now and again in a garage. :(

Well those are my principles, and if you don't like them... I have others.

Your lucky if you can find a garage thats up to the job of a conversion. There is nowhere in New Zealand I would trust to change the oil let alone the engine, if you want it done right you have to do it yourself. I don't even take the whole car in to get the tyres changed, just give them the wheels because I have had them cross up wheel nut threads putting the wheels back on the car. One would hope the UK is better with 10 times the population, there must be at least a couple of places that know what they are doing.

My opinion is cars are made to be driven and enjoyed, I'm not spending the money with any intention of getting it back. So do whatever makes you happy :th:
