feasability question NA to Turbo
Hi all,
I will try to keep this short and sweet so there isn't a need for TLDR,
I recently bought rev2 Mk2 NA (158bhp?)
Been offered J Reg Turbo for about £200
How easy to swap turbo engine into mine.
Would it really be better as i think that would make the tubby a rev1?

Re: feasability question NA to Turbo
Its not quite plug and play, but has been done many times.
The about having doner car there you have all the bits, the gear linkage cables are slightly diff on tubby to NA.
REV 1 speedo is mechanically driven and the REV2 onward are electric driven.
There will probably be a few pin changes somewhere on main loom (easy enough job with BGB pin printouts if so).
Others who have done this will advise better.
It will still be a REV2 with a Tubby conversion (just make sure you tell DVLA and ins)

yeah have the complete donor car, just the chassis was too far gone to save.
I wasn't aware of the difference in speedo so hope that is all good.
