You're not alone, I still don't have mine :crybaby: .

If it helps the post office staff when looking for them, I've asked over on IMOC what they were posted in. Aparently they were Brown A4 envelopes, very thin, with a bristol post mark and a small 1st class stamp. Just incase the delivery address isn't enough for them lol.

I believe its just two people on here who don't have a ticket now then?
Am I correct??

Well I have been chasing the organziers regularly with no response (I called twice yesterday and sent a minimum of emails a day for the past four days)

They didn't get back to me so I pestered them today until I finally got a response. This is the email they sent me:

Hi Karl,

If they definitely havent arrived by tomorrow then give me a call and we can sort out a contingency plan.

I'll be out of the office from about 12 tomorrow, but call me on xxxxxxxx and I can pick up all day.

Thanks

In light of the above please let me know by midday tomorrow if you don't have your ticket (obviously after the postal run tomorrow)
Let me know your reg as well as this may be needed.

Do wait until the post has been delivered tomorrow though :th:

For those of you who haven't received your tickets (and if you don't post up here telling me I won't know)

I have taken tomorrow off of work at short notice in order to sort this mess out with the Japfest organizers

If your ticket doesn't arrive with your post and you speak to your local delivery office tomorrow and they don't have it then either post up here or PM me around mid-dayish

Ideally I will need your reg (just in case the organizer asks)
They should then sort something out to allow entry I would presume.

+1

Again, no card today. Went down to the delivery office once more and was fortunate emough to speak to the same guy from yesterday. After some discussion, in which I explained the urgency of the situation from my POV, I extracted a promise that, should the envelope surface he would call me back forthwith. So with a bit of luck I won't be wholly reliant on their card recording system working properly.

Will report back tomorrow with developments, if any. Fingers crossed...

Well I managed to get mine this morning, the reason for the delay (and why they said they did not have it for the last couple of days is that it had got caught in the sorting machinery and had torn the bottom half off the envelope) luckily I have the green hanger which from reading the bit of paper I have left behind it is my ticket :) and they were kind enough to waive the £1.09 fee as they had damaged it.

Third time lucky!!!!!! =)
My third trip to the sorting office this morning and they managed to find my ticket as it had come to them overnight.

Still no card about it (not that that matters now) but no doubt that will turn up on Monday once it's been processed by them lol.

So Karl thanks for putting up with my daily panicking... you could quite easily told me to go do one n it wasn't your problem... so thanks again for sticking it out!

I hope every one else who is waiting for tickets either gets them today or that Karl is able to sort something with the organisers!

i'm now off to finish getting my car ready! lets hope the weather stays good!

Thanks Jay :th:

The problem (which I've seen before) is that the bit on the alternator where the pivot bolt goes is fractionally too wide for the mount. I spent a while going at it with sand paper last night, but I'm going to buy a metal file at lunch to sort it out. Once the alternator is in then it'll just be a case of reattaching the subframe and driving the car off the ramps... but the question is whether I can achieve that in the rain tonight!

Best of luck with the Alternator. Its actually starting to brighten up here atm, so hopefully it stays dry enough to attack it tonight.

Anyone on here attend their delivery office today and still have no stand pass?

Moral of the story - be nice and people will reciprocate.

Fook me that was down to the wire!

Karl, thanks for keeping in touch and your efforts with the Japfest organisers.
Hopefully I was the last of those affected and no plan B will now be required.

:bye: Got to go catch a bus and get my mitts on that pesky ticket. :D
