As with every big meet, we convoy in, usually one of the best parts of the day. In recent years (since 2004) we have all met up at Morrisons car park, chippenham.

All the guys coming from the SE, I plan to be at chievely services, Junction 13 M4, 0630. Then Morrisans for 0715.
Anyone else from other regions please post up, so we can organise and maximise the convoys. Its early, but if we dont get in early, you will be stuck in the que from hell for half the day.

OK, I would like to get to Castle Coombe for between 6.30 and 7.00 (early I know)
Google maps gives us a time of 12minutes from Morrisons to Castle Coombe and 43 minutes from Chieveley to Morrisons....
Therefore.....
5.30am leave Chieveley to arrive at Morrisons (Chippenham) for 6.15am
6.30am leave Morrisons to arrive at Castle Coombe 6.45am
Sound fair?

I'm picking my mate up from Swindon at 7am. Should take half an hour (20 minutes) to get to Chippenham, so I'm with Gaz at 7:15(ish).

Is the imoc club meeting same time and place? It would be awesome to have 40+ mr2s waiting to get in!
on a side note, I've been 3 times in the last few years and never been caught in a queue for more than 15mins. I normally go about 10am though never been on a club stand.

2012 was the 10th anniversary so was much more heavily promoted. Also whoever the organisers appointed as marshals completely screwed up and we queued for over 3 hours. Last year was relatively painless by comparison, but we didn't leave Morrisons until after 7.30 which wasn't ideal.
This will be my 6th Japfest. Experience tells me that we should aim to leave Morrisons no later than 07.00 - that 30 minutes makes a big difference. I don't mind it being earlier if that's the general consensus.

Talking to Chris this morning I think we may have a plan...
It all depends on where we are positioned, if it is by Quarry Corner then we'll need to be early. However, if we are down the other side then a later time is alright....
I think it depends on where we get. General consensus is that we'll meet up (I'll get to Chieveley), it's just the time that is up for debate at the moment

We won't be in the paddock (gate B) that's reserved for traders, racers and all the Chav car clubs.
If up the north side (gate A) we can afford to be that 30 mins later. Last year we took a diversion that I used to use as a hooning around road when I lived at Chippenham, that was the better route in to gate A.
