I will be going to the RV at Chieveley.

We still had to drive past Gate C to get there though!

Personally I would like to be at Quarry (but not stuck right down in the bottom field like the last time we were there) as it's by far the best place for pics and watching people flying off into the tyre wall. With a pitch in the top field close to the banking it's not too far to walk down to the paddock either. The only good thing about last year tbh was the very short walk to the toilet block and standpipe. Getting anywhere else meant an expedition!

Im in Swindon so will be happy to join forces with you with my turbo.
My initial thought was to join the others at chievely but it is going back on ourselves so may just meet at the Chippenham morrisons.

Pointless going all the way back to Chieveley. The convoy from there will be passing Swindon so, yes, just get on the M4 at J15 or J16 and head down to Morrisons.

@Jay. Do you know when the tickets are due to be sent out?

What is the planned time for the Chiveley Services then?

I was at CC today for racing and it made me wonder?

Small update guys.... Had an email from the organisers letting me know that the tickets and passes have now been sent....

We should know by the weekend where we will be and can then start organising the convoys :yh:

Japfest 2014 Stand Location Released - Convoy Thread

Post by MR2Jay »

Alright Guys? Tickets and stand location is now in :yh:

I've only gone and done it ;) We have a GREAT spot this year :yh:

The stand pssses put us through Gate B - Area 4 which, as shown on the map, puts us in a great spot for both the trade stand and the circuit (I made a point of "mentioning" our distaste at being stuck right down the back of the field behind Quarry ;) )

With this now in place, what do people think about convoys?

Before my time with the OC. We weren't that far away in 2007 either (the long pink strip).

And again (on the other side of the path) in 2008.

Early morning line up at Avon Rise.

Presumably it's now just about timings?

That's what I meant Tony :th:

Good to see those pics... Believe it or not, that was my first ever show with the OC I think :th:
