Maz's Relay Run
All round nice guy, JDM car enthusiast and top bloke takes a go in the JAE 2012 relay race with another judge in the relay race for "censored" and giggles. This man took the time to come and chat to us for 30 minutes in a field about cars afterwards at 10pm after all the events he judged/organised throughtout the day, and continued on throught the night to get around the other club stands. We salute you sir
Video:
TOP BLOKE!
Shame you won't be doing it again next year Maz, but good luck in what you will be doing.
Oh and can I have one of your HKS drag cars

Great bloke and as we spoke about how many MD's would spend a week end of their own time doing what Maz has done for years now. Will be missed.

Re: Maz's Relay Run
I personally think that a person like Maz will find it hard not to be involved and he did say he would still be attending, top bloke and as stated a legend.

Re: Maz's Relay Run
Got a reply from Maz and he wanted me to post something up
Dear all at MR2OC,
As red said, he passed me the link to this forum thread and I've read through it with a big smile across my face as I was reminded of how much fun was had at JAE this year.
As you all know, I've recently been made managing director for HKS Europe looking after sales, marketing and planning etc. whilst a colleague of mine is now overseeing the financial side and admin.
As a result, I made the decision to step down from the active running of the IKO events on the day. However I want to stress that I will still be very much a part of the spirit of JAE and IKO by finding ways to support it. I love that people are able to come together at such an event united by their passion for Japanese cars. The IKO to me symbolises the connection between the various clubs and whilst the world has recently learned through the Olympics how everyone can come together through fair and friendly competition, I feel that we already knew this through IKO over the years.
As I said before, I'll still be around and do my best to see as many people as possible. I want to try and be at as many event as possible talking to as many people as I can. JAE will be no exception. Please let me know if you have any events going on even if it's a small local meet that's in my area. I'm based on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border so I'd be up for attending anything if I'm welcome.
I hope you all had a great weekend at JAE and look forward to seeing you again soon. Oh and I must arrange to get that flag to you!
Masaya
