I figured I'd start a pictures thread for Japfest photos...last year we had so many different threads, it may be best if everyone posts them here to keep them all together! :th:

Just a Sony A230...probably cheapest camera you can get!! Although I've got a nice 100-300mm lens on it that I 'borrowed' of the ex's dad...hopefully I can avoid returning it :laughing

I'll chat with Matt who now owns my car and see if he wants to go...otherwise I'll have to Zed it and park in the pleb parking! ;)

Love this shot, how hard was it to do? dont look lik ejust a normal b+w setting

Cheers mate, I think I just B&W'd it, then bumped the contrast up a bit...it kinda lent itself well to B&W as there's not much going on, I just leant back and tried to get the crowd and the track. I think it may also be on a higher ISO setting hence the grain, or maybe it's just baaadly focused!

Either way, I found taking photos of stuff like this is so tricky...for every useable photo you get a good 4 or 5 duff ones!! :laughing
