What a great days driving. The weather is dry and sunny and we had lovely views from the top of Applecross.
Good food and great company. The longest pool match ever tonight proved a crowd puller. Well done Jo and Dee :clapping:

A good forecast for tomorrow's run. Haven't had a chance to upload any pics yet but there will be plenty when we get back. Let the fun continue :th:

Thanks again for another great Highland Drive, great roads and banter as usual with even perfect weather included this year too!

We made it back and the tape kept the window in place - called about a new rear window and surprisingly according to their computer they think they have a new one in their warehouse, although it is probably been there for years so they are going to double check and get back to me so fingers crossed!

Think the below link was the group that passed us going the other way
http://gtscotland.com/the-leaving-of-ex ... gentlemen/

and details about the for hire Caterham we saw at Applecross - at first didn't think the rates were too bad although mileage allowance 120 miles per day

120 miles a day, no use for us then! Well spotted Kieran and glad you made it back without the window falling out. Pete also had his rear window smashed on the drive down today. I just can't believe we have had 2 rear windows smashed on this drive plus Chris's sunglasses due to a stone entering the car through a side window

No one hurt as a result of these mishaps so that's the main thing.

A thoroughly brilliant 5 days, it's been a pleasure driving with such a good bunch of folks......Respect :th:

Pics to follow. Off to bed, working tomorrow 8am :crybaby:

Safe trip home Southerners :th:

Just got home about an hour ago after 1,948 miles - phew!

Big thanks to Ann, Bob and Pete for organising, it was far more than just a 'drive'!

Thoroughly enjoyed the company, the banter, the scenery and more importantly to me, the advice (having realised it was the first time i'd driven an MR2 in anger on roads like that!) :th:

Going to go through the space in my wallet filled with cash that has since been replaced with fuel receipts when i'm a bit more chilled out. Don't want to give myself a heart attack :laughing

I'm really pleased this has taught me so much about my driving and my car (and the faults with both!), so hope to return with some of those addressed!

I think all car manufacturers should rethink using the Nordscleife as a test bed for their new models and hand the keys to Mr Wedge for a Highland Drive :D

Thanks again everyone.
