Replacing the radiator
Looking at the cost of New MK1 radiators, has anyone tried using a radiator from another car (e.g. MK3)? Presumably, if you had another radiator of comparable size and you modified the brackets holding it on, it would be a cost-effective alternative?

Re: Replacing the radiator
I don't know of any other radiator that will fit in the space, has the entries in the correct places and has the tapping for the thermal switch and bleed tap. Shop around you can get new MK1 radiators for under £100, it's even worth thinking about getting yours re-cored
