Supercharger
Hi, just bought a 1989 super charger just one catch its in parts, the body has been refurbished and re-painted and is rust free, now just needs to be re assembled sounds simply!!! So I will be asking many questions over the next few months. So my first one I am planning to clean all the threads on the engine and body etc which will help me to put things back together easier and less hassel. What spec threads are on the mk1 its not imperial or metric I believe and where can I buy them? One last item does any one live in South Wales with a supercharger as I would like to have a look to see where everything goes Thanks

Hi - think you will find everything you need in the BGB (big green book) - link so both
Repair manual and electrical manual.
Had a look it does include the supercharger

Re: Supercharger
ALL bolts on the mk1 are metric....
However... they will not be off-the-shelf coarse metric.
They will be fine thread across the board
M6 x 1mm pitch
mate x 1.25mm
M10 x 1.25mm
M12 x 1.25mm
May even be the odd M7x1 in there too.
As Pete says - check the BGB for help and this one too....
Manual tbar - http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/g_J_1986_T ... WJMQR.html
Auto tbar - http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/g_J_1986_T ... WJPQR.html
(tbar /hardtop regardless, everything on the engine will be the same)
This wont give you thread or bolt size but it will give you the Toyota part number to order the CORRECT bolt..
If you have the bolts, have you considered having them cleaned and re-plated? It is cheaper than you think..
