Low RPM on idle?
Im stuck thinking what could be causing my missus's MK1 to be ticking over so low, when idling off choke.
When fully warmed up, it ticks over (barely) just under 500rpm, and roughly 650rpm with load on the alternator (eg, heater blower on...).
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks,
Scott.

Adjust the warm idle screw, should idle at 800 rpm. It's under the round black plastic cover on the rear side of the throttle body, you can see the cover in this pic

Forgot to mention, adjust the warm idle with no load on alt, ie engine running everything electrical off otherwise the idle up will give you a false reading.
