Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
Having just done a 2500 mile round trip through wales and scotland, I can with some accuracy say: 23mpg at its worst, round town, sprinting etc. And 38mpg on a cruise of 70ish up and down motorways.

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
Average on the Innsbruck- Metz leg of my Tuscany trip netted me about 27mpg. 290miles to 40litres of VPower. That was with sitting at over 100 MPH on the autobahn with bursts up to 140mph. Also included winding up through the Alps at 2500' above sea level.
Considering the mods on my car I'm happy with that [emoji41]

270 miles between 1pm 22/12 to 4pm 26/12
30.47 mpg. 16p/mile by my reckoning. Dual carriageway and B roads mostly. No motorway driving. '89 tubby.

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
Got to love old cars! doesn't matter what I do with my 2 she returns a fairly steady mpg.
Rev 2 n/a with 80k on the clock
31.8mpg was the most recent result with a good mix of town commuting and long dual carriageway running. Happy enough with that and I know she is desperate for a service. Also I am still pretty new to owning and driving an MR2 so lets just say I haven't been kind to the tires or the tank lol

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
I run a rev 3 n/a on the road, last year went round the north coast of Scotland loaded with tent etc and happily cleared 30mpg
My rev5 which is on the track generally returns around 11mpg!!

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
I keep an excel spreadsheet of mileage and fuel consumption going back to Dec 2012 and over 35K miles.
2GR N/A, 2 speed Auris diesel gearbox.
Best seen - 37.71Mpg. Innsbruck, via the Stelvio Pass, to Lake Como. August 2014. The downhill from Stelvio to Como is very busy and slow moving and all you can do is sit in top and trundle along
Worst seen - 10.92Mpg - Bedford autodrome Feb 2014. 92 miles, 38.26 litres of fuel
Central London is returns 27-29mpg, out on the A roads (for example a kent run) it will return 30-33mpg.

I average 30-33mpg driving up and down the A68 to Edinburgh. Around the doors 27mpg.

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
At worse: ~ 17 mpg :P
At best: ~40 mpg
I just got the car so I havnt done a 'proper' test where I fill it to the max. Only going by half a tank or less at the moment so these figures might be off.

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
new record for my V6 on the way to the highland drive this year.
Followed Chris in his superchaged GT86 with cruise control.
230 miles from home to Todhills, brim to brim 29.04 litres = 36.5
another record was my HD overall fuel run
1910 miles, 284 litres = 30.9 mpg
previous years has been
2013 = 29.1
2014 = 29.2
2015 = 29.7
dam happy with those numbers

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
New user of this forum so I thought I'd start here.
Hi, I've got a 1990 3sfe (you know, the "economical" one) auto that's my daily and if I'm lucky I get 29mpg. It's usually closer to the 27 mark but that includes a lot of short runs up the road to the shops and from November until recently I've been commuting about 45 minutes to uni on a mix of dual carriageway/50 mph backroads in it.
