just bought a project, Yes another project,
a once loved mr2 t bar turbo sitting in a field for 2 years, and I just had to save it, so I am trying!
the car starts and ticks over nicely, but as soon as you accelerate it just dies, I've changed the AFM and still the same issue, and I know the AFM is good as its my every day AFM on my tin top turbo!
I understand the car has had lots of engine work by the previous owner, and I would ideally like to track him down and ask him some questions?
it is running a gt35 turbo, screamer pipe and 38mm external wastgate? not sure on any other work its has? apparently it been highly tuned and was once a track race car?
Please can anyone help me?

If it has an aftermarket turbo and been tuned it will be running a EMS of some description. Best find what it is and get into the program to monitor & correct any issues. Sort of doubt if it is running AFM as most systems use MAP.
