radiator size
Hi All
I am planning to replace the radiator on my mk2 91 plate. I have noticed that some radiators vary in thickness from 26mm to 36mm. Could you tell me does it matter what the thickness the core is?
Appreciate any advice
Darren

Re: radiator size
I think it would.
If using the stock fans, you may struggle with clearance with a thicker rad.

Re: radiator size
NA and turbo rads are different but both can fit with OEM fans. Aftermarket rads can vary with size, mounting tabs and entry/exit pipes. What model are you after?

Hi,
Thanks for the info. Ordered one now on ebay that's sold quite a few mk2 rads with positive reviews.

Re: radiator size
I bought a steel one a few years back for my 91 na import.
Not sure about the thickness but the width of it was bigger than the old one. This wasn't an issue as there was a plastic piece either side on the car I could remove.
Also 1 of the fan mounting holes didn't line up on each of the fans but they still mounted secure enough.

1991 rev 1 T Bar n/a 3sge import. A work in progress!!!
