Accessing square gear linkage bushing
Hi all,
I'm doing some work on the gear linkage bushings on my 92 Mk2 turbo. I've heard elsewhere about the "square of death", aka the square gear shifter linkage bushing at the gearbox end. Apparently a simple fix if it's worn down can be to rotate it 90 degrees. I want to check on it, but can't find a way to get access to it. It seems to be hemmed in by a bracket that's attached to what I think is the starter motor?
Does anyone have tips on how to access it?
Thanks!
