mk2 wont keep running more than few seconds
mk2 3fse engine starts try rev it and she cuts out any suggestions as to what I can do with it????

Start by pulling some codes.
Failing that best to run through the basics; fuel, ignition and compression.

As said above.
Do a EML error code check. If no codes move onto inspections.
Start with inspection of plugs, leads, dizzy cap (inside it) , rotor arm and coil pack.
If they are all visually ok then just check the spark by holding a plug (with insulated grips) against the engine whilst cranking.
If good spark then check fuel pressure. When was the last time the filter was replaced?
Also go around checking all the vacuum lines.

have fitted new fuel pump, new iridium plugs , checked dist all good , tried another ecu no different , as for codes nothing flagged up just continuous flash. have ordered new filter just hope it is that......

Just for fun try the old plugs again.
I had a new set have me scratching my head for a couple of weeks after a HG change. 2 of the new ones were duds.
