Throttle body gasket
Hi all,
Just have a question about the throttle body gasket, I have a NA 94 MR2 and I've hunting down a high idle and I took off the throttle body to clean it as it is covered in oil. The gasket has seen better days and I don't think it would be good to reuse long term so I'm just wondering is it possible to use like gasket maker or something like that for this or do I need the proper gasket?
Thanks,
Padraig

Re: Throttle body gasket
Yeah I think Ill just go to Toyota to get it, hoping they have one. It's just I don't have a garage and I have taped up the intake I'm still nervous about stuff going in there, mainly spiders it seems to attract a lot of spiders.
Anyway would anyone know where I could get the part number for a gasket for a 3SGE Rev3? Ive checked MR2 Ben and he doesn't have them on the item description

Re: Throttle body gasket
The Toyota Europe epc gives a different part number for a 94 n/a.
https://toyota-europe.epc-data.com/mr2/ ... 211/22271/

Re: Throttle body gasket
The best way to get the correct part number is to use your VIN. That's the way Mr T does it, first thing they ask you at the parts department.
If you go to the site Tony linked to you can enter your VIN here https://toyota-europe.epc-data.com/mr2/ then find the part your looking for, that way the EPC only shows the correct numbers for your car
