Handbrake fault

Post by Delta_Tango_93 »

Got a TF300 (210)

I've had all 4 brake pads and discs replaced this year and the handbrake cable adjusted, passed it's MOT, but it still tends to roll forward and even had a fiasco this morning at work with multiple people ringing up asking why I parked my car in the middle of the carpark (as if I'd do it on purpose!)

Apparently something else, like the callipers needs tightening and that it's something regular mechanics don't know about doing?

Anyone else with the same problem? What's the fix?

It wiil be the rear caliper set up , Have you searched on the R.O.C as we dont seem to have a guide on here ? on the mk2 you have to wind the piston right in then back out 180 degrees , reconnect the handbrake cables then operate the handbrake a few times , then adjust the cable , not sure if the mk3 is the same but probably is .
