Hi guys and girls, newbie alert!
I’ve had track cars for the past 10 years and love a budget small powered but planted car that shows up big powered cars on circuit. I’ve delved into the MR2 roadster market and have a nice little FL model that I picked up for £1200. On Saturday I decided it was definitely my next build, less than 48 hours later I have spent more than what I paid for the car. This is my reach out to you guys and the knowledge and secrets of this machine. The engine is staying standard for the min so it’s focussed about smiles per gallon...... for the moment. Any advice, please feel free to guide me. I will be keeping this thread updated with plenty of pics to see what I can adapt from previous cars to make my 2 into a brilliant understating track weapon!

Re: Track car build
Do you have any roll over protection? I would want that with full convertible.
Otherwise looks good

Looking good!
Have you thrown in the Celica 6 speed with the 2zz? It'll drop out of lift when caning through the gears otherwise.
