Engine direction

Simple question.
When your looking at the face of the ac compressor what direction does the engine turn the compressor?
Clockwise or anti clockwise?

I’m using a ac compressor off a mr2 for a air conditioning project.

Engine rotates clockwise as if you look at the timing side.
