depends where you are: anywhere near Sevenoaks, Kent and consider... carhoodwarehouse - at £825 fitted, they cost WELL over double Jack Smiths (£350?), but Carhoodwarehouse use the Robbins Haartz material with the new glued glass screen...

OP did you have any luck? I also need a replacement hood and can't seem to find one for sensible money.
I can get a good used one for £550 or a new one for £750ish without fitting! Seems ludicrous for what is essentially a few bits of vinyl stitched together.

See my post on this thread 2 above yours, Jack Smith is the best deal going at around £350 and recommended by everyone who has used him

Yes, but you would be better getting in touch with them to find out the current price

Does anyone know if Jack R Smith is still open? Have been calling for days and no answer and saw someone say similar on another forum. Calling this 01792 461022, or does someone have an alternative number for them, thanks.

Done a little more research, seems it is called Raymond Pugh limited now and he's known as Ray, but still the same number comes up.

I'm sure he is definitely open as I've heard people saying that they have contacted Raymond and he is full until end of October/start of November!

Swansea now booking late may next year, booked mine in for 9th may cost £350, the carhood warehouse at Sevenoaks was also booking for next year and now charge £925, so decided that a drive to wales and the cost involved (over 500 mile round trip) was worth it. Will be sorning mine this month and it will not be coming out of the garage until early April to get a service and mot ready for it's longest run in about 5 years, only done a couple of thousand in the last 2 years so will do it good to blow the cobwebs away.

That's some waiting lists, I can understand Swansea at their price, but £925

There may be a difference in materials used. Raymond doesn't do proper mohair from what I've heard. Andy

I just used Jack Smith (Raymond). A lovely job. £350 or £450 with a new rear window. Very professional. We had two nights away in a hotel plus the hood for the same as it would have cost locally. I have a TF300 and got red mohair. Looks great.
