I may be wrong but I don't think the Carhood Warehouse is mohair either, I think it's over £1K for mohair. I understand that Raymond does other levels of fabric for his product at different prices.

I'm booked in for Nov 8th, but he rang me the other day to cancel because he's having an operation!
He's asked me to call back in about 6 weeks after he's recovered.

What do you mean by £450 inc new rear window?
Surely a new roof at £350 comes with a new rear window? Or am I'm missing something here.

He reuses the existing glass cut out of your existing vinyl hood.

No he uses the window out of the car before you not yours as he has the roof ready to go on when you get there is my understanding.

if there is a choice of materials/colours, how is this possible ?
Not Plan B again!! Why don't we just go with plan B in the first place?

To book with Jack Smith you have to keep calling. Don't email, he doesn't look at emails. Don't leave a message, he has over 1000 voicemails and never checks them. Eventually he will answer the phone.

I booked yesterday for late November.

Took Mister 2 to Swansea a couple of weeks ago. Turned up at 9, had a new roof by 12.30.

Raymond is something of a rough diamond. However he does a great job for £400. Some might complain about detail - he didn't trim off some of the edges on the locking mechanism, but that was only five minutes of my time with a Stanley knife.

Roof looks great, much better than vinyl original. It is a three-layer mohair-like fabric with a waterproof layer in the middle.

Drove home seven hours in torrential rain all the way, no leaks.

The roof is now a lot harder to close, Raymond claimed it would stretch and get easier.

For killing time in Swansea there is an excellent caff nearby, Sam's, where you can enjoy a Full Welsh breakfast.
