Headlight plastic lens removal

Has anyone managed to remove the headlight lens from the case without breaking it..

IF SO HOW?

I have laquer peel on the inside of the head light!

Thanks for sharing that how-to I'm tempted to do this myself- driver front headlight is fogged up, definitely not the outside as I've polished it with a kit twice. Looked online to see how much a new one would cost, MR2Ben charges over 200 quid which seems like a silly amount for a headlight. Looked at second hand ones on ebay and they are much less around 60 quid but they are also fogged up so it's probably not worth it- perhaps best to DIY this

You can try TCB for a price for a new one as well but they are expensive and 1 brand new and one old would look very odd so you may realistically need to replace the pair?

People mention putting them in the oven but you could easily ruin them.

Check out youtube too, I think it was SpyderLee who put his in a cardboard box and used a heat gun to make his own, cooler, oven to spilt his headlights to upgrade the lights.

I put mine in the oven and removed the lens. Broke one clip - my fault. I sprayed the plasti-chrome inside black then reassembed by baking lens (and therefore the glue) again. No problems apart from the foul smell!
