Mr2-Ben Manifold
I'm planning to replace the manifold and cat on my Mk3 (joining to an existing Cobra back box).
I've been looking the the MR2-BEN manifold (here) but found myself wondering about the flange that connects to the engine block - it looks like pressed plate. Other manifolds (Toyosport for example) and what appear to be signifinatly more substantial flanges.
Is this an area of concern? Grateful for thoughts, experience and advice.
Thanks

Re: Mr2-Ben Manifold
I can't speak about this particular one but from experience and what I've seen 95% of aftermarket manifolds are worse than the OEM one, at least that's the case for the MK2s.
I had a Japspeed tubular one that blow more than my wife's hairdryer.
The more I looked into it the more I realized it's actually more cost effective in the long run to get a Custom Race manifold fabricated. Mark at YVS Performance (Leeds) did mine and I couldn't be happier with the results.
Maybe worth at least checking the cost to see if it suits your needs/budget
