Re: My New Install
Here is the new sub going in and yes that is 8gauge power cable for speaker wire
and I didnt find a stock passenger seat I found another speed
and you can see the sub port firing just above the passenger seat.
Its all been held up as the amps wouldnt fit behind the drivers seat so they are going in the boot now.

Re: My New Install
Here is a pic of the bluetooth mike for my pioneer headunit fitted into the interior light
The Kicker L5 in ported box in place
and the amps in the boot
Now just got to make a nice cover to go in front of the amps

Wow, looking good! Whats stopping that amp board from falling over (ie, where is it screwed in to)?

Re: My New Install
Thanks Ben, I just kept the wires short to hold it in place
No if you pull the carpet back from the bulkhead in the boot you will see a 6mm (10mm spanner size) bolt on each side at the top these just go into a captive nut so I just got to longer 6mm bolts and put them through the amp board which holds the top securely and a a piece of wood bolted to the bulkhead lower down with the ampboard screwed to it.
It has improved my voltage as the alternator feeds straight into the fuse box bottom right of ampboard (fuse between alternator and bulkhead as well) then a cable goes from the fusebox to the battery but I have seen 15.1v at the amp and generally high up in the 14's when booming
But as the engines dead I am breaking the car and starting all over again with my rev3 With a bigger amp for the sub (3 times the power) bigger wiring and anl fuseholders and going back to 2 way door components.

Re: My New Install
Well I havent got very far yet I have got my twin headunits working together
The navsure does dvd and sat nav (and I am putting a camera on the splitter) but plays through the pioneer which has clean 5v outputs and bluetooth.

Re: My New Install
where do you route the cabling?
I am unsure on whether to put my amp in the frunk or boot, if I do, not sure where I route cables.
install and seats looked great btw.
would like a satnav unit like you have there

Re: My New Install
Sorry Tom I missed your post so here's a late answer
I ran the wires from the boot down the inner wing to underneath the rear side windows
This is just the power cable on the drivers side, I used this to feed the wires through
I will take more pictures as I fit it into the purple 2 when we get some dry weather

Re: My New Install
Use a strap and the metal brackets that normally have the t-bar straps on
My experiences with him have been terrible.
