Android 2din unit that fits
Hello all
Anyone came across (or used) an android 2din unit that fits flush (or near flush) with the 2din space of the mk2 ?
I've tried two and they simply either not fit or fit so badly that look horrible.

Sure have. Does require a little fiddling to get right mounting holes so it fits flush. Bought from Aliexpress last year to display my EMS functions. Sounds are awesome!
Will supply pics when off my phone. I’ve attached in previous thread if you care to search.

Re: Android 2din unit that fits
be interested to see the pictures, was looking earlier this year on ebay and came accross one that fits my Seat, it was designed for the hole in the dash and hence looks the part, but was unsure how a standard douldle din would look in the 2
Not Plan B again!! Why don't we just go with plan B in the first place?

Here you go. I've tried to incorporate everything into the one unit including; EMS gauge display, Music server, TPMS, phone connection and navigation. I'm not an Android user so its been a steep learning curve.

Hopefully, you can see the double DIN unit well enough. I made sure I got a HU that had multiple USB ports (3) as well as slots for SD & map cards. One issue I have is that I cannot skip songs without initiating a lay-over screen as there are no hard buttons to skip (only volume, home & back).

That is great mate, thank you.
How did you connect the headunit with your ECU to get all that data? I thought the MR2 didn't have an OBD.

I run a MSPNP EMS so connection is via serial port. Apart from displaying all the gauges and custom set-up is that ShadowDash program will datalog automatically and when Wifi available it will download data to your MS dropbox.
