Hot air coming through handbrake

Post by rach4444 »

Hi all,
I have a 2000 MR2, in pink, which is still going great after 135000 Miles.
I’ve just noticed that there is a lot of heat coming through the handbrake housing. I don’t think it’s exhaust as it doesn’t smell fumey, if thats a word, though I’ve had the top off for the last 6 weeks so not about to suffocate.
Any ideas.
Thanks
Rachel
