Post by RickMcRick »

Just been out to test one of these £30 HD car cameras recomended by LMT and here is my little drive to ASDA. You really cant ask for much more for £30 in low to zero light.

Not bad quality for £30 how big is that camera I could do with one for my model aircraft. I can see you know those roads well I won,t ask you how fast you were going LOL.

Was that mounted on the t-bar glass? Quite a wide shot too. £30 from where? And is it wired into the ignition or switched on separately? Lol, few questions to keep ya busy :P

@farnboy - The cam is too big for a model air craft, however check out this thread that LMT started about the key chain cams. The one I used is the DVR HD with the 2.5" screen (link at bottom of page).

LOL, yeah that road is right out side my house, I know it well, as for the speed, in all honestly, I didn't look, but I doubt it was anywhere near 60 (you can just about make out where the speedo needle is, if you can find a pick of some stock Mk1 dials you could work it out) that vid makes it look a lot faster and a lot less visibility than there really was.

@trevsmr2 - Ha ha, that was just the camera banging on the door frame to the iguana enclosure, plus I hate the sound of my own voice recorded, I'd have held in anything verbal LOL.

@MartinR - Yes, mounted on the t-bar glass. It's actually £35 delivered, sorry. The camera has a 120 degree fish eye lens and I love that it gets so much of the inside of the car. I used it last night on its internal rechargeable battery. It comes with cig lighter adapter so it could be hard wired. It has an on/off button but will also start recording as soon as the power is supplied via the cable if using the cig lighter adapter.

This is the link to the cam

Unfortunately I'm becoming more and more disapointed with the camera, it's frame rate and pic quality is pants!!
