Nice Dave. As you know I got the rev 3 recently and it's been a pain having to get all the stuff fixed with it, but when I'm in the car again driving it I just don't care about the expense, time, and hassle. 2nd gear just makes me grin. Also it's kinda nice getting your car back whenever something's been done to it and seeing what it's like. Once the turbo is sorted I'd like to get a couple of months unhindered use out of it though.

Dave,
Great read and bet so many of us identify with loads in the text.
just as you get it running right, handling right they bite you in the wallet.
But cant see me selling mine just keep adding to it.
as you say this is a family and a "lifestyle choice".
Got to keep them going as they are such great cars - what ever Mk- 1,2 or 3 or type NA/tubby/V6.

An excellent read Dave, and so true! I had all that at one point, but decided to be greedy and go for something bigger and better, and it was the biggest mistake of my life!!

My tubby only let me down once, and that was on my way to my first OC meet in 2004, but after that, she was perfect, took everything i gave her, and she gave me the biggest thrills, biggest smiles, and the most fun ever. Yes, she will be demanding, the occasional upgrade, a service, new shoes, but like any fine woman, she's worth it, and when she has them, she'll blow your mind :cool1:

It was more than a lifestyle choice, because i met some great people, still meet up with them, and even though it took me a few years of hell, i realised that my Jap car love was with MR2's, always has been, and always will be. :th: :th:
