Curborough bud - right on my doorstep :th:

Wedgey is still around Gaz but the MR2 world has taken a back seat for the moment.

What MR2 was Wedge using? His one?
The throttle response on his is definitely better but aren't they practically the same engines with near enough the same mods?
His car seems to rev faster as well but couldn't really keep my eye on his gauge.

All in all seems a good day out :th:
I really need to get myself to Curborough in November.

Wedgey was in his own V6 using an N/A box compared to my turbo box. However, my rev counter has been recalibrated but his hasn't as his goes to 9,000 ish on the dials so ignore what you see on the vids. He also has an aftermarket ECU whereas I'm running stock and mine is a Rev3 compared to his Rev2, so this gave him 225bhp and leaves me with 206bhp. I ended up with more area under my torque graph though ;)

Plus, he drove the boll*** off his car as you will know if you've seen him drive. I was still nursing mine with coolant problems and I didn't want to risk a visit into the scenery with new body kit as Curborough is not forgiving off the black stuff :bye:

I'm not saying my car was quicker/slower. But the driver made a difference, and it's never going to be me compared to Ian!

About 54 seconds from start to the turn in at the end of the straight i think, Wedgey was about 52. I kept changing gear on the back straight for the first few laps before the molehill until i left it in second later on that day. This helped lower the lap times and my fuel economy :laughing

I have just lost 20 minutes of my day on your photobucket and gained an enormous grin. The V6 sounds moist-worthy. :)

£60. You get about 30 laps dependant on cars and you get to be passenger in any other there. 500bhp escort cosworth rallycross car was fun as was the Veyron eating V8 Caterham. Tad scary.

Usually start of May Dave, I'll let you know of the next one :th:

They sounds great Kiz, and nicely done with the tracktime. Seen Wedgy driving at the Highland drvie two years ago and he likes to push on indeed.

I will be posting up V6 videos next year as my V6 is going to be track use only now, spent to much time raising the young ones the last three years, time for daddy to have some fun.
1995 JDM Anniversary Mrk II, 2000 2ZZ track hack, 1991 ST185RC. etc.
