Hi will probably meet you on the way (after Tenterden). Living on a cattle farm I have animals to sort out before I'm free, but hope to see you all. I should be sitting at the end of my road as you enter towards Hamstreet.
Regards Steve

Re: Kent Run 2019 season - Round 1 - Sunday 7th April
I come bearing bad news....
Sadly I'm going to have top drop out of this one. I thought the car was ready however having been out yesterday for the first time and properly looked today I've got big rubbing issues with the rear tyres contacting on the arches over any undulation on the road at speed so I'm slowly eating at the sidewalls of my rear tyres!
It's therefore not going to be safe chucking it around the back roads of Kent tomorrow morning and I just lost the Z today so I am carless again... Seeing Patrick this coming Friday so will be sorted then I hope.
Have fun guys, hopefully I'll catch you on the next one!

Hi all. Sorry I had to leave the run so soon, but the lad I arranged to cover me on the farm (we are very busy lambing) rang me to tell me he couln't make it. Good while it lasted though.
Better luck next time I hope.
Regards Steve.

We wondered what happened to you Steve. Glad it wasn't a prang! Hopefully next time you get to enjoy a lot more of it!
Thanks for the other 3 cars turning up. I really enjoyed that route, even though TLF going at the back confused everyone at the start. We managed to get some good dry roads in and a great brekkie. Quite happy with the performance of my auto.
Thread for round 2 already up.

Sorry for the disappearing act early on. Got stuck behind that artic for nearly 2 miles.
I knew you would be a long way ahead so decided to take a short cut to catch up.

Re: Kent Run 2019 season - Round 1 - Sunday 7th April
I will make a point of booking the whole day off for the next one.
Was a little worried about going round the country lanes at that speed, because we farm most of the land we passed through and I wasn't sure we might meet one of our tractors coming the other way. They start out at 5 am. That would have been awkward for me. But funny explaining it. Still look forward to the next one.
Now I'me off I go again a cow as started to give birth. Dont they know it's Sunday
All the best to everyone Steve.

How is your car behaving now ?

Love the V6 although juicy , Patrick did a great job with the conversion and is right my short shifter is she ite may go back to oem Jim was behind me today when I tried to go into reverse on a very sharp bend
the new rainsport tyres on the back are also a big improvement to the handling and grip. Andy challenged my stock suspension today with some interesting tracks and shed loads of potholes Had a bad year last year one way or another with Kent runs so hope to participate as much as possible this year , hope to catch you at the next one

Re: Kent Run 2019 season - Round 1 - Sunday 7th April
Yours is a Rev1/2 right? The later OEM shifters are shorter, if you want a decent compromise in between the early shifters and the short shifters.
Most of the aftermarket short shifter kits are poorly designed, the only good one I've seen is the TRD, but those are only a little shorter than the later spec OEM ones:
