Ok, let me know either way.
I'll soon start asking people who attended last year to see if they'll come along. Be good to get the numbers up.

Re: 23rd Feb - Return of the Cold Weather Rolling Road
I'm up for this. Any idea what sort of a discount we might be looking at?
Also how long/many runs will each car have? I went up to SRR once on my own and found it to be a bit rushed (although in fairness I was running late and another car turned up).

Re: 23rd Feb - Return of the Cold Weather Rolling Road
last year i think we all had 3 runs each, It is a little rushed but it will be in most places when you got 10-20+ cars all turning up at same time on a saturday, but the guy does give you some feedback once your run is done which is good.
come along it's a good day, worst part is the noise of that fan.

Re: 23rd Feb - Return of the Cold Weather Rolling Road
I think that was the problem 'feeling rushed' given that it took me over an hour to get there to be in and out in what felt like 5minutes with info that I didn't have time to absorb for £50 left me feeling a little short-changed.
I guess maybe I've been watching too much Days of Thunder/other race car films where they break out the laptop and tell you where to fix the problem/improve performance.
I'll add myself to the list tentatively - just need to see the price and what the disclaimer it is that we're signing (I suspect 'if your engine goes pop, it's not our fault').
Would be good to see a bunch of MR2s though!

Re: 23rd Feb - Return of the Cold Weather Rolling Road
I've put you down mate. Let me know if you can't make it.
FWIW - I've taken many cars there now. Charlie is careful - he won't let cars on if there's any chance of them going pop. He refused a rover of mine due to problems with a crunchy gearbox, he advised a GT4 not to run with a pin-"censored" hole in the rad. Good bloke and cares for the cars / customers.
With regards to information you can't understand - that's the joy of doing this with a bunch of enthusiasts! There's bound to be someone there who can help. We did a great bit of diagnostics on someone's rev 1 turbo conversion last time out.
I'm hoping that we'll get £40 if enough of us turn up it could go lower. TBH I'd pay the £50 - SRR is worth it.

Re: 23rd Feb - Return of the Cold Weather Rolling Road
Just wondering, is 10 cars the maximum number Charlie can take on the day? We'd quite like to get ours on again if we can.

Re: 23rd Feb - Return of the Cold Weather Rolling Road
There is an upper limit but it's quite a large number. I think we had almost 20 last year and he had other cars there too.
Would you like to be adde? You said "we", is it one car or more?

Sorry. Apparently I need to be on a mountain in Scotland instead_Al_ wrote:Oi!!! I was looking forward to seeing your car!
Annoyingly the connected wedding has also made me pull out of a trip to Palestine (West Bank) and Israel

Re: 23rd Feb - Return of the Cold Weather Rolling Road
Hey dude, it's just one car (me and my brother share it) but we'd likely both be there. If we can go on the list then that'd be great but if not then don't worry_Al_ wrote:There is an upper limit but it's quite a large number. I think we had almost 20 last year and he had other cars there too.
