Goodwood breakfast club

Post by Paicey »

Hi as it is soft top Sunday on the 7th June are any/many going up to the event? Also just outside Alton on the A339 towards basingstoke in the afternoon about 2pm there is a little classic car gathering. Sometimes busy sometimes quiet but a nice little show none the less, might be worth a few going. My mate and I go and have a look around, it's at the departure lounge cafe just outside Alton.

You beat me to it! I've been meaning to ask the same question.

I'll have my Tubby trackside on display, got the confirmation of acceptance a couple of weeks back now. Would be good to see a few cars there and the weathers meant to be good. Hopefully the T-bars will be out :D

I too have a Mk2 T-Bar, in close to original showroom condition.

I applied months ago to attend, long before it could have been over subscribed. Recently received an email stating it was over subscribed and that my application had failed. They mentioned that I could park in a nearby field used for public parking - Not a good alternative in my view as that would be either muddy or dusty, depending on recent weather conditions. Probably no security either.

I think that what are probably regarded as those 'Cheap & nasty Jap Cars' are really not their target attendees, so I won't be seeing you there. Having been refused twice I doubt I will apply again.

Hope you enjoy your morning though.

I beg to differ - http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/forums/48/161181 ... d&start=14
I applied in May last year and had no problem getting a pass.

It may have helped that my car was already registered for Breakfast Club.

Can't make it this year because it clashes with Bromley Pageant. As the latter is under 16 miles away rather than over 60 it was a no-brainer.

I wouldn't let a minor detail like that get in my way. :)
Keep knocking on the gate and eventually they will get tired of the noise...

I'm really surprised to hear that. I applied a while in advance and got accepted no problems... I've also been accepted to a previous soft top Sunday and Sushi Sunday with no issues.

I wouldn't give up on applying again in future, I've always found Goodwood to be very accommodating :th: There's always a huge variety cars of cars there on display.
