Guys, those of you complaining about the extra costs need to understand that these are profiteering by Ticketmaster not the event organisers. Anybody who has been to a music concert or a London West End show will know all about this. It doesn't cost 6 times as much to process a booking for 6 tickets as it does 1. At least the print at home option saves on the postage. £3.00 is another rip off (a 400% mark-up - nice if you can get away with it!).

As for an adverse weather refund this event isn't listed on the Santa Pod site so keep your fingers crossed.

AFAICS you can still buy a weekend ticket at the gate. It will cost you £25 (so £3 extra for 1 person and £1 extra for 2) - http://www.santapod.co.uk/prices.php

I think it is worth the extra £3 on the gate. At least if it is raining you can decide at the last minute not to go and save yourself £22.
If buying ticket on the day can you still have a stand pass?
Is it free for children? (age 3)
I am looking forward to this one, always great fun. (probably last show in the MR2)

was chatting to a few people at Japest about this and we will be getting our tickets on the gate, why let Ticket master get the benefit of ripping us of.

Yeah need to know about this, buy on the gate or order through ticket master???

If we dont book through ticket master does that mean we wont be registerd as going from the club? How are the stand passes being booked?

If previous shows are anything to go by,most will be recovering and will not be too worried about a stand pass.:-)

Good question. Unless I have misread things it would seem to be the exact opposite!
http://www.japshow.co.uk/forms/BookingFormJap2012.pdf.

In particular T&Cs Clauses 4 & 5. Clause 4 suggests that the Ticketmaster route is NOT what we should be doing if there is to be a Club Stand. How will the organisers know that 10 MR2OC members have coughed up? There is nothing on the TM online booking system to identify a purchaser as a member of a car club. Do they simply take Jay's word on the numbers and dish out passes accordingly? Not only that but the T&Cs are completely at odds with what the booking form page says!

Maybe it's just me, but I find the whole thing a confusing mess. I'm certainly not giving Ticketmaster my money up front without further clarification.

Over to you please Jay!

Sorry I haven't been around (See other post)

Right - the T&C haven't been updated on the booking form. I queried this with Donna at Santa Pod myself as I thought it was strange.

Stand passes will be sent direct to me where I will post them all out in time.

Regarding paying on the gate, again this is an option but I will need to know FOR DEFINITE who is attending prior to the show so I can send out passes.

All a bit confusing this year
