What do you need to know about offsets? Looking at your wheel spec the widths are great but the offset (ET) is a tad high. Id say spacers all round.
Id say to fit comfortably you will need to go for extended studs with a 10mm on front and rear. A bigger hubcentric spacer at the rear for more beef.
Dont know if you run coillies but ET45 at 8J upfront on standard struts can be hit or miss depending on the tyre. A 10mm bringing it to ET35 should be fine.
Funny you should mention this as im thinking of experimenting at ET25 on my rears next week!
I agree. Anything higher than ET38 with an 8" front is going to be marginal at best. My fronts are ET33 and sit flush with the arches. I deliberately chose ET43 for the rear because I didn't want to have to roll the rear ones. I can live with them not being flush.
Hi Tony, 33/43 looks good, and yes they are stamped 45 on the back on both front and rear. Is your car lowered at all and have you got a slightly closer pic of the rears at all?
I was told i needed a 12mm spacer, so that would put me more or less spot on with your setup
If i'm going to be needing longer studs with these spacers, where abouts would i get the studs and spacers from, and are they an easy job to swap over?

Have to say those wheels look the doggies dangly bits mate, just for reference i'm running on 18x8.5 et 35 front and 18x9.5 et 32 rear and mine look superb I get the faintest bit of arch rub at the front if I hit a nasty pot hole but i'm not too bothered about it.
1996 BPU Supra TT
The deuce will surely be missed, until the second turbo comes online
The tyres on currently are race slicks that have been cut, and the chap i bought them off had wide arches on the fronts to accomodate them. They are 8J front ET 45 and 9J rear ET 45.
I've test fitted the fronts and the rims look flush with the arches which will probably pull them in a little once on the ground due to camber. Not tested the rears yet though as i didn't get round to it.
Does anyone have any ideas on spacers and or tyre widths?
I've heard far too many conflicting recommendations/posts. And i'm still not very clued up with this ET malarky :whistling:

Have to say, those look rather good!
It's close, but I think that the Lenso D1R's would look better!

Depends on whether you want dodgy e-bay tat or quality items. As I mentioned, I'm not a fan of spacers, but if I did need any I would make 100% certain that they are
- Car specific (never ever use the 'universal' type!)
- Maufactured from aircraft grade aluminium alloy
- TUV approved
Most spacers come in 5mm increments so you will be looking at 10mm or 15mm rather than 12mm. Try these people. http://www.wheels.uk.com/acatalog/wheel ... tem-2.html
If you can change discs/pads, fitting spacers will not be a challenge.
Those were when I had stock shocks and -40mm springs. I haven't taken any since the BC coilovers were fitted. Not sure what the current drop is. Have yet to take the car back to WIM for final adjustments to be carried out!

Last annoying question - what size tyres are you running front and back?
Those offsets look great to me so that's what i'll go for
Funnily enough i'm just on the wheels-uk website now!
And mick, attention whore on your own thread!
You're welcome mate.
Same sizes/profile as Tom - different tyres though
Front 215/40/17 - Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Rear 245/40/17- Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric
Goodyear don't yet do 215 size Assymetrics, hence GS-D3s on the front.
The Assymetric tread pattern doesn't look as good but they are a step up from the GS-D3.
Which is not exactly a poor performing tyre!
